Comparison

RONDO vs LINEO: point or line?

RONDO and LINEO are both concealed, frameless, paintable ERGOVENT diffusers — the difference is shape. RONDO is a round point: a single discreet outlet per position. LINEO is a linear slot: a continuous line of air across the ceiling.

This guide compares them by what actually drives the decision: the room, the ceiling design and how the air is delivered.

Point vs line: the core difference

A point diffuser concentrates supply or extract at one location — ideal when a room needs a single outlet and the ceiling has no particular linear organisation. A linear slot spreads the same function along a line, which suits larger or more deliberately detailed ceilings where a continuous element reads as part of the architecture.

Neither is inherently better. RONDO disappears as a small opening; LINEO disappears as a thin line. The right one depends on what the ceiling is trying to be.

Where each one fits

RONDO — and its square counterpart KVADRO — suits bedrooms, bathrooms, dressing rooms and other individual spaces, and is a natural fit for renovations working from existing round ducting. LINEO suits living areas, open-plan spaces and suites where a linear detail aligns with lighting and joinery.

On larger or premium projects, LINEO PRO extends the linear option with detailing developed specifically for design-led interiors.

Before you order

What to confirm first

Concealed diffusers are specified against the project, not from a shelf. Confirm these before ordering:

  • Airflow per room and whether each position is supply or extract.
  • Duct size and connection type at each outlet.
  • Ceiling construction and available depth.
  • Whether a point or linear detail suits the ceiling design.
  • The final model and configuration against current documentation.

All technical data must be verified against the current manufacturer documentation for your specific configuration before specification and installation.

Frequently asked questions

What is the main difference between RONDO and LINEO?
Shape. RONDO is a round point diffuser — one discreet outlet per position. LINEO is a linear slot diffuser — a continuous line of air. Both are concealed, frameless and paintable.
Is RONDO or LINEO better for a bedroom?
For a single bedroom, RONDO's point outlet is usually enough and simplest. LINEO suits larger rooms or ceilings with a deliberate linear design.
Can I mix RONDO and LINEO in one project?
Yes. Many projects use RONDO or KVADRO in smaller rooms and LINEO in living areas, keeping a consistent concealed look throughout.
What about KVADRO and LINEO PRO?
KVADRO is the square version of RONDO; LINEO PRO is the premium linear tier. The choice within each shape depends on geometry and project level.
